Software & Production Data Systems
Connecting weights, labels, barcodes and inspection results to business processes
NCN develops software and data interfaces around real packaging-line operations. We help weighing, print-and-apply, scanning and inspection equipment exchange the required information with a customer’s MES, ERP, WMS or other host systems, subject to project interface specifications.
The connection between shop-floor equipment and business data
Each packaging station generates useful information, including product IDs, weights, barcodes, labels, inspection outcomes and timestamps. Those records need to remain consistent as they move between equipment and existing business systems.
Typical tasks include retrieving product masters, dispatching production instructions, selecting the right label template, and returning weight, scanning or inspection results to the host system.
Correct product → correct weight → correct label → correct inspection result → correct business record.
Connectivity alone is not sufficient; the meaning of each data field must be agreed.
Software capabilities
Features are configured by project rather than presented as a universal off-the-shelf integration.
Label and template management
Select templates and variable fields by product, order, weight or job.
Production data collection
Collect weights, product codes, barcodes, timestamps and equipment outcomes.
MES / ERP / WMS interfaces
Read tasks or master data and upload records subject to available interfaces.
Traceability records
Store relevant scan, upload and exception history as specified.
Typical end-of-line data flow
Illustrative workflow; actual stages depend on the application.
Connecting scan, weight and warehouse records

In food production workflows, a barcode may identify the product or handling unit. Weight data and scan outcomes can then be assembled into the record required for warehouse receipt or traceability.
The field mapping, event triggers, network arrangements and exception handling must be agreed against the customer’s existing system.

Frequently asked questions
Can NCN connect to MES, ERP or WMS?
Integration is possible when suitable interfaces are available. The protocol, fields, event logic and network conditions are evaluated for each project.
Can equipment weight and barcode data be uploaded?
Yes, project-specific IPC and interface software can transfer the agreed records to a host system.
What do customers need to provide?
Product masters, barcode rules, sample labels, interface documentation, required read/write fields, exception rules and network details.
